Description
The grapes for this late harvest wine come from the steep slopes of the Wiltinger Kupp, whose heavily weathered, light slate soil lends the wine its typical minerality, elegance, and precision. From here, a spectacular view opens up of the bend in the old Saar river channel between Wiltingen and Kanzem, which was voted the most beautiful wine view in the Moselle region in 2012. The hand-picked, golden-yellow grapes were immediately pressed as whole clusters to fully preserve their delicate aromas and crystal-clear brilliance. In the glass, the wine displays a wonderfully cool opening with refreshing aromas of light local fruits such as white peach, pear, and nectarine, subtle floral notes, and a fine smoky slate spice. [The text abruptly ends here, so the translation stops as well.]
The bouquet offers aromas of white peach, hints of red berries, and a touch of lemon balm. On the palate, the Spätlese presents itself as elegant, clear, and precise, with a juicy interplay of sweetness and acidity, recurring cool, mineral freshness, and a long, mouthwatering finish with recurring noble fruit notes.
This lively late harvest wine harmonizes perfectly with a refreshing pear sorbet, a sophisticated ceviche with a fruit-forward dressing, or mild soft cheese, with its delicate fruit notes and cool minerality elegantly supporting the flavors of the dishes.

Heavily weathered, fine-grained, light-colored – that's the slate soil of the Wiltinger Kupp. It produces a completely different kind of wine, brilliant and elegant – delicate flavor notes, nestled in a fragrant fruit basket.
