A delightful fruit cocktail that lends the wine remarkable elegance and transparency. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, yet utterly charming, with a refined residual sweetness and finely integrated acidity. Its delicate smoothness and assertive mineral backbone give the wine structure and depth. The long finish is accompanied by floral notes and underscores the wine's elegant, transparent aromas. Overall, the wine is very elegant, with a light-footed character that makes it an exceptional drinking experience.

An ideal accompaniment to salmon fillet with a honey-mustard glaze, fresh goat cheese with pear compote and walnuts, or an exotic fruit salad, which wonderfully complement the tropical fruit notes of the wine.

Like a monumental cliff face, the Kanzemer Altenberg vineyard stands in perfect south-southeast orientation. As in all Othegraven vineyards, Devonian slate is the defining element, in the Altenberg with traces of iron oxide. A noble wine grows here, mineral and warm at the same time, with inner grandeur and utterly self-contained.
