A tart opening with bright citrus fruits like grapefruit and lemon, alongside smoky, reductive flint notes from fermentation with natural yeasts. With aeration, pear, nectarine, and pomelo enrich the bouquet, lending the wine additional depth and fruity complexity. On the palate, this late harvest wine is taut and incredibly profound, with impressive concentration, finely polished acidity, and a wonderful mineral grip. The finish is complex and long-lasting, underscoring the wine's quality and exceptional aging potential.

The wine pairs perfectly with goat cheese salad with caramelized walnuts, braised duck, or spicy blue cheese.

Like an amphitheater, the silvery-grey slate slope of the Ockfener Bockstein opens up, one of the classic vineyard sites of the Saar. Accordingly, the wine presents itself in typical fashion with the unmistakable fruit of Riesling, delicately spicy, characterful and subtle.
