Description
The dry Kanzem village wine unfolds a fruity and spicy aroma with notes of ripe red apples, red pepper, and intense aromatic herbs such as sage and dried hay flowers. With a little aeration, intense aromas of curry, turmeric, a touch of paprika, subtle smoky nuances, and a hint of flint emerge. On the palate, the wine presents itself as consistently dry with a firm, mineral structure, ripe acidity, and a fine tannin grip. Spice notes reappear, accompanied by excellent structure and a long, complex finish reminiscent of light tobacco. An outstanding village wine for those who tend to avoid fruit in their wine. Extremely serious, somewhat unusual, and exceptionally good!
Thanks to its herbaceous and mineral freshness, the wine harmonizes perfectly with a tender veal fillet in a herb crust, roasted lamb fillet with Mediterranean herbs, or more intense cheeses such as aged Comté or Manchego.
