Riesling sparkling wine brut
Our house sparkling wine is a blend of base wines from the 2018 and 2019 vintages, aged on the lees for over 40 months, hand-riddled, disgorged, and finished with a dosage of our 2017 Altenberg Spätlese. It boasts a delicate bouquet with aromas of rosy-cheeked apples, citrus peel, grapefruit, and a hint of peach, along with subtle herbal and mineral notes and a delicate honey undertone. On the palate, this Riesling sparkling wine is wonderfully lively and fresh, with vibrant bubbles, ripe, juicy acidity, subtle herbal and mineral notes, and a fruity, aromatic finish. A sparkling Saar Riesling experience for lovers of uncomplicated, fruit-forward sparkling wines.
The delicate aromas harmonize perfectly with a hearty quiche, canapés, or a refreshing lemon sorbet.
2023 MAX Riesling dry | VDP.ORTSWEIN
Our dry estate wine presents itself with crystal-clear, bright fruit aromas on the nose, dominated by fresh citrus fruits, a touch of yellow stone fruit, fresh meadow herbs, and distinct earthy and spicy notes. On the palate, this Riesling is consistently dry yet juicy, powerful and very well-structured, with fine grip and ripe acidity, subtle yeasty nuances, and mineral-salty accents. At just 11.5% alcohol by volume, it is a remarkably powerful and balanced estate wine that impresses with its finesse and intensity.
It is a wonderful accompaniment to light, aromatic dishes such as a wild herb salad with goat cheese, grilled fish, light poultry or light vegetable dishes such as a ratatouille.
2023 KANZEMER Riesling dry | VDP.ORTSWEIN
The dry Kanzem village wine unfolds a fruity and spicy aroma with notes of ripe red apples, red pepper, and intense aromatic herbs such as sage and dried hay flowers. With a little aeration, intense aromas of curry, turmeric, a touch of paprika, subtle smoky nuances, and a hint of flint emerge. On the palate, the wine presents itself as consistently dry with a firm, mineral structure, ripe acidity, and a fine tannin grip. Spice notes reappear, accompanied by excellent structure and a long, complex finish reminiscent of light tobacco. An outstanding village wine for those who tend to avoid fruit in their wine. Extremely serious, somewhat unusual, and exceptionally good!
Thanks to its herbaceous and mineral freshness, the wine harmonizes perfectly with a tender veal fillet in a herb crust, roasted lamb fillet with Mediterranean herbs, or more intense cheeses such as aged Comté or Manchego.
2024 Riesling KABINETT off-dry | VDP.EstateWine
This wine displays a vibrant freshness with clear aromas of lime, green apple, oak pear, and white currant, framed by a cool, smoky slate minerality and a hint of flint. With a little aeration, the wine opens up further and gains depth. On the palate, it is extremely lively, with a refreshing acidity, subtle residual sweetness, and pronounced slate minerality. The finish is juicy and invigorating, with a grippy texture that adds further complexity to the wine.
This off-dry estate wine Kabinett goes perfectly with light dishes such as fresh seafood, gazpacho or a Mediterranean feta salad, which wonderfully complement its clear structure and refreshing acidity.

2023 BOCKSTEIN Riesling Cabinet | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®
The Bockstein Kabinett initially presents itself as stony and austere. With a little aeration, aromas of ripe peach, grapefruit, and floral notes unfold, along with subtle herbal and mineral hints. On the palate, the wine is taut and focused, appearing both feather-light and incredibly concentrated, with a firm, demanding structure, a delicate salty minerality, and a vibrant interplay of sweetness and acidity. The wine also impresses with a remarkable length that beautifully rounds off the complex flavor experience.
This cabinet wine goes very well with fresh seafood such as scallops, a fried pike-perch fillet or a delicate goat cheese.
2020 ALTENBERG Riesling Spätlese | VDP.GROSSE LAGE®
Aromas of exotic, ripe fruits from the first sip, completed by a long finish with delicate notes of honey and apple, make this late harvest a balanced and harmonious taste experience.
An ideal accompaniment to grilled fish such as salmon served with an exotic mango salsa, or braised duck with orange sauce, which complements the tropical fruit notes of the wine.
